My Duke Health – Login to Duke MyChart
My Duke Health formerly Duke MyChart uses the foundation of MyChart and continues to offer a secure and convenient way to access your health care online. You can still do everything you are used to doing in Duke MyChart including reviewing health records, communicating with your providers, scheduling appointments, paying your bills, and more.
How would you like to receive notifications about upcoming appointments, messages from your provider, lab results, billing updates, and more; by text, phone call, or email? Now you can update your communications preferences with the click of a button by simply logging into My Duke Health and selecting Communications Preferences under Account Settings in the menu.
My Duke Health Overview
My Duke Health is the new name for Duke MyChart. My Duke Health is an electronic medical record patient portal that offers personalized and secure online access to portions of your medical records. The My Duke Health secure website and app also make it easy to schedule appointments, participate in video visits, pay your bills, and initiate an E-visit when you have non-urgent medical needs.
Since My Duke Health is the new name for Duke MyChart, the website landing page is changing along with the name. The system will automatically send you to the new landing page when you go to log into the patient portal.
Instead of landing directly on the Duke MyChart page, you will be redirected to the My Duke Health page. You can log in to all the familiar MyChart functionality directly from the My Duke Health page using your already existing MyChart username and password.
If you use the MyChart app (red folder with white heart icon) on your phone or tablet, that is still available to you and is not impacted by the change of the website’s name and landing page.
My Duke Health Features
My Duke Health is Duke MyChart plus a lot more. You still have access to everything you love about Duke MyChart and your username and password remain the same.
Duke MyChart offers patients personalized and secure online access to portions of their medical records. It enables you to securely use the Internet to help manage and receive information about your health.
You will still be able to access all the features that you are used to in Duke MyChart. You can view your health records, messages, test results, connections to other healthcare organizations, etc. Learn more about Duke MyChart’s benefits and features.
My Duke Health Sign-Up
If you would like to sign up for My Duke Health, you can sign up online or follow this step-by-step guide. You can also ask to sign up for My Duke Health the next time you see your Duke provider. If you already have an activation code, sign up now on the My Duke Health site.
Ways to create an account
- Clinic staff might sign you up directly while you’re at the front desk or in the exam room.
- You might receive a MyChart activation code on your After Visit Summary or on a billing statement.
- You might receive a text message or email with an activation code when you come in for a visit.
- If you are a confirmed patient at Duke Health, you can sign up at any time without an activation code by navigating to the Duke MyChart home page at www.DukeMyChart.org and clicking the “Sign Up Now” button.
Alternatively, you can call Duke Customer Service at 919-620-4555 or 800-782-6945 between 8:00 am-5:00 pm ET Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday or 8:00 am-4:00 pm ET Thursday.
My Duke Health Login
If you have never had My Duke Health account and need to create an account to access the patient portal there are many ways to do that. The simplest way is to click on the blue ‘Sign Up Now’ button on the landing page and it will take you through the steps to set up your account.
If you already have a Duke MyChart account currently you do not need to create a new account to access the My Duke Health portal. Just use the same login information you always have.
- Go to the Duke MyChart login page.
- Enter your MyChart username and password in the spaces provided and
- Click Sign In to access your account.
Did You Forget Username/Password?
You can retrieve it through your saved passwords on your computer browser OR click on forgot username or forgot password just below the login information. The system will help you retrieve or update this information.
It will require that you enter your full name and date of birth for username retrieval and your username, date of birth, and zip code for password retrieval. If assistance is still required you can call customer service at 919-620-4555 or 800-782-6945, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Duke Health Bill Payments
Duke Health understands that when you or a loved one needs medical care, worrying about how you’ll pay for it can add to an already stressful time. We have a variety of resources, both online and by phone with members of our team, to help you understand and prepare for the cost of care, so you can focus on your — or your loved one’s — health.
Payment is due 15 days after you receive a bill. You can pay your bill in one of three ways:
- Online with a credit card in your secure My Duke Health (previously Duke MyChart) account
- By mail with a check (use mailing instructions on your statement)
- Loved ones and caregivers can pay bills on behalf of a patient — and you don’t need a My Duke Health account.
My Duke Health App
The My Duke Health app makes it easy to stay engaged with your care and offers access to health information for you and your family whenever you want it. Along with quick access to Duke MyChart, My Duke Health provides resources like an educational health library that can help answer health and wellness questions.

Duke Health Anywhere
Duke Health Anywhere is a virtual urgent care option available 24/7 for people who are not Duke patients, or who do not have a My Duke Health (previously Duke MyChart) account. Your virtual visit will be with a board-certified provider through a mobile device or computer with a webcam.
Duke Health Anywhere provides:
- 24/7 live coverage
- Board-certified doctors with an average of 15 years of experience
- A secure, HIPPA-compliant video connection
- Prescriptions sent to your pharmacy
Duke Health Anywhere is a good option after 8:00 pm and before 8:00 am when Duke virtual primary and urgent care is not open or convenient appointment times are not available.

Do not worry if you see the name Duke MyChart instead of My Duke Health or vice versa – these are being used interchangeably until everything is transitioned and people are comfortable with the name change.
- Why did we change the name?
We changed the name to reflect our commitment to providing you with a personalized and integrated healthcare experience. My Duke Health is more than just an app. It is a portal to a wide range of health resources and services.
This also allows our website portal name to align with our already existing My Duke Health app for Apple and Android mobile devices, so that the experience is the same regardless of the device that you are using.
- Will the name Duke MyChart still be used?
As we transition our pages to say My Duke Health there may be reference to the names Duke MyChart or MyChart across our sites. It will take some time before everything is edited.
It also takes time for a new name to catch on and so there will be a lot of us who still refer to the My Duke Health patient portal as Duke MyChart or MyChart. My Duke Health and Duke MyChart are terms that will be used interchangeably for a good while.
